Customized Medical Massage

30 minutes: $54
60 minutes: $96
90 minutes: $124
120 minutes: $160

Orthopedic massage is a style of massage therapy focused on treating painful conditions that affect the soft tissues and muscles surrounding the joints of the body. Because orthopedic massage is designed to treat medical conditions, it requires extensive training. It involves releasing tense muscles, helping to stretch and lengthen tight muscles and tendons, and decompress rigid joints thus working to restore balance to these physical structures. My goal is to restore full health to the soft tissues of your body, both treating your specific conditions as well as improving your overall well-being.

Soft tissue pain is usually what brings people in to see me, whether it is from an acute injury, or strain from overuse due to a repetitive motion such as tennis, golf, hockey or jogging. This pain is frequently caused by a surgery, whatever the cause may be, the intent is to permit better range of motion of the affected joints.

Deep Tissue Massage

60 minutes: $105
90 minutes: $130
120 minutes: $178

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Session includes body tempering techniques as well as some stretching, actively and passively to help release tight muscles.

Sports Recovery & Performance Treatment

120 minutes: $180.00

Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who engage in athletics. Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body's natural immune function.

Sports Massage sometimes may include myofascial release which is a form of soft tissue therapy intended to eliminate pain, increase range of motion, and rebalance the entire body. It does this by using massage techniques to stretch the fascia and release the bonds that exist between the fascia, muscles and bones. Fascia is the connective tissue that connects and covers all muscles, organs, and skeletal structures of the body. Direct myofascial release is sometimes known as deep tissue work. Indirect release applies light pressure and gently stretches the fascia; this allows for increased blood circulation and relief from pain.

Stretch Therapy

45 minutes: $68

I use Muscle Energy Techniques (MET) such as:

Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), which is a physiotherapy modality that seeks to enhance neuromuscular function by activating proprioceptors through facilitation, inhibition, strengthening, and relaxation of selected muscle groups.

Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) which was developed by Aaron Mattes and is a dynamic system for improving your flexibility and overall well-being. As you probably already know, stretching your muscles not only reduces your chance of injury, but also strengthens your tendons and improves your circulation.

Reciprocal Inhibition is where one muscle contracts and its opposite relaxes to allow ease of movement and reduce the risk of muscle tears. but also allows the release of the target muscle that is tight by activating the opposite muscle.

Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is an efficient and effective manual therapy technique developed by Ann and Chris Frederick. it is a therapist assisted mobility, stretching and flexibility manual therapy method and Fascial Stretch is also a neuromyofascial manual therapy method which focuses on the connective tissue system rather than isolated muscle treatment.

Corrective Exercise

45 minutes: $80

Corrective exercise is different than what a massage therapist or a physical therapist can offer. Think of it as injury prevention. And, with being said,

 I will:

  1. Explain the steps to restore structural alignment and stability from head to toe

  2. Describe the corrective exercises that correspond with the most common movement dysfunctions

  3. Describe soft tissue assessments and correctives for the most common joint restrictions

If you look at society today, we are all more sedentary than ever before, with much of our time spent staring at a computer or smartphone. As daily habits, these things cause us to have poor posture. That includes our shoulders rounding forward, heads jutting forward, and spines rounding. Not to mention the tightening of the hip flexors from sitting for 6, 8, or even more hours daily.

Please note that a corrective exercise is not a medical profession. This means that it cannot treat nor diagnose a medical condition.

Movement Education

30 minutes: $35.00

The modality uses a custom-tailored approach to improving your body awareness and movement skills. Combining problem-solving, guided-discovery, and exploratory methods, this practice inevitably leads to a stronger connection between the mind and body, creating a more natural and graceful experience of movement and interaction with other people.

A Movement education session can be a stand alone service or it may be included in a regular visit care plan. For those who want to be more familiar with their movement so that muscle imbalances are not created, work related injuries are decreased and where better habits are formed to reduce pain as well as have a better understanding of joint mobility, this may fit you well.

Corporate Wellness Chair Massage

3-5 hours: $75.00 per hour

Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your home or workplace. You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which I bring to your location.

In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.

Chair massage is a perfect modality for a corporate wellness program and has been shown to decreases workplace stress and injuries thus not effecting your companies bottom line.
